Geneva: Great Eats & Fashion Finds

Geneva is a beautiful city, filled with history, French food, boutiques, and designer shopping.

When you visit Geneva after spending time in Zurich, you will notice the stark difference between the two cities. Geneva, on the French border, features French cuisine and architecture, while Zurich leans more heavily toward German influences.

While our best meal of the trip was in Zurich, we found so many great options in Geneva. My husband and I love starting the day with a leisurely, protein-packed breakfast that gets us ready for thousands of steps of walking, hiking, shopping, and/or biking. We usually grab a light lunch, or we might even skip lunch and have tea and coffee with a snack in the afternoon, then enjoy a nice dinner each evening.

Recommended Geneva Eats

White Rabbit Brunch & CO - adorable and tasty, healthy breakfast spot!

Cafe du Centre is great for lunch or dinner, especially if the weather is nice and you sit outside. Great people watching!

Restaurant Les Armures - great dinner spot

You must order a Hugo Spritzer to drink everywhere you go. It is so YUMMY!

Geneva Shopping

I am a boutique shopper in the States, with a firm allegiance to such brands as Rails, Rag and Bone, Jenni Kayne, and French Connection. When we travel overseas, I relish the chance to find European boutiques that introduce me to locally sourced and made items.

One of my all-time favorite brand finds occurred in Geneva, and I have shopped this brand in three other cities and online since. Sessun is a French boutique that features beautiful tops, jumpers, denim, and trousers that are sustainably made. I enjoy wearing pieces that are tailored, feature neutral colors, and are classic while staying on trend. And no one is going to have any piece you buy there here in the States.

Sessun is located in an alley between Old Town and the main shopping district in Geneva. I have also visited locations in Amsterdam and Copenhagen, and the customer service and shopping experience have been the same.

Rue du Rhône and Rue du Marché are the two best streets for shopping.
